Ew. This week on the 20 Minute Longbox, we cover Uncanny X-Men #421, written by Chuck Austen and illustrated by Ron Garney and Mark Morales. Yes. It's a Chuck Austen issue. Ever wanted to know why mutants can't get AIDS? Well, today's issue shall reveal all. Things get better later on in the show as Random Readings takes a look at The Man Who Laughs, adapted from the Victor Hugo novel by David Hine and Mark Stafford. Oh, and that Paul O'Brien review mentioned in the show? Find it here: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2010/09/14/why-do-people-hate-azazel-anyway-blast-from-the-past-by-paul-obrien/

There's a good-ish chance that on your visit to the comic shop today, you'll be picking up Green Lantern #20, the final issue written by Geoff Johns, bringing his 8-year run on the book to a close. So, why not join me in looking back at one of his earliest issues? Before the New 52, before the Blackest Night and the multi-coloured corps, from an age where you could trust a Guardian of the Universe as far as you could throw him, and when Hal Jordan had a civilian supporting cast. This week on the Longbox, we're looking at Green Lantern #8, a tie-in to Infinite Crisis and a sequel to Alan Moore's classic Superman story, For The Man Who Has Everything. By Geoff Johns, Carlos Pacheco and Jesus Merino.

Relax. Don't worry. Things are just fine and dandy. Everything is just as it was last week, and just as it will be next week, except that this week... there's a 20 Minute Longbox for you. Three months to the day after the last episode, we're back, looking at Peter David and Lee Weeks's Incredible Hulk #78, from David's return to the title in 2005. So come on in and enjoy a little slice of randomness! Find Peter David's website, including details of how you can help Peter recover from his stroke, at peterdavid.net

The 20 Minute Longbox returns, starting January by dipping our toes into the world of Superman. Well, one of his supporting titles at least. One day, the randomiser will pick a regular issue of one of his core titles... heck, it picked an issue of The Fantastic Four long before I ever thought of doing the Fantasticast... Join me as we take a look at the return of the Silver Banshee, by Sterling Gates and Fernando Dagnino!

No, your itunes does not deceive you. This is a new episode of the 20 Minute Longbox. Honest. After a long gap, I'm back with a new episode of the show, taking a look at Flash #55 Ultimate Fallout #1, by Brian Michael Bendis, Mark Bagley and Andy Lanning. It's time for Ultimate Tears as we take a look at the aftermath of the death of Peter Parker, the Ultimate Spider-Man.

Only five days after the last episode and the show returns. You lucky lot! This is all part of my efforts to get the show back on track following the extended absence due to illness. The final week of the Marvel Moratorium sees us back in Gotham City once again, this time courtesy of Judd Winick, Doug Mahnke and Tom Nguyen, as we visit Under The Hood Part 2.

The 20 Minute Longbox belatedly returns after a period of illness to take a look at one of the most popular and highly received series ever. It launched an entire imprint and its legacy is legaciclical (that may not be a word). It's The Sandman, and we're looking at issue #58 from the Kindly Ones arc. We also stop off to take a brief look at Doctor Who Magazine's 8th Doctor comics that I have spent the last month reading. To return the show to its regular posting, I'll be double-shipping over the next couple of weeks, meaning that next week's episode will coincide with the release of the next Fantasticast. Hurrah!

The 22nd episode of the 20 Minute Longbox has the privilege of looking at one of my favourite series ever, Hitman, with a special guest-appearance (and believe me, it's special!) from Green Lantern. After listening to the show, pop down to your local comic shop and buy some Hitman trades, you won't regret it! The 20 Minute Longbox is back, with new sound and a new mission. The Marvel Moratorium is in full effect, and we have four episodes free of Marvel to redress the balance. We're starting with Batman: Streets Of Gotham #3, one of Paul Dini's new titles that launched in the wake of the Battle For The Cowl, with art by Dustin Nguyen. The main story is supplemented by a Manhunter backup strip by Marc Andreyko and Georges Jeanty. Random Readings takes a look at some of the haul from the recent London Super Comic Convention, and more detail on my weekend there can be found at the show's blog. E-mail the show at 20minutelongbox@gmail.com The show can be found at 20minutelongbox.libsyn.com The show's blog can be found at 20minutelongbox.wordpress.com Legends Of The Batman is back and can be found at batmanlegends.com
